These four fancy faces will be in the same city this weekend! And around 5pm on Saturday night, they will be sipping a little red and laughing and happy songs will be sung!
*It should be noted that these photos of Carlos and Tim are two of my favorite pictures EVER. They are the perfect representation of their ridiculously goofy personalities.

0 FAT or Fiction
First, what a fun idea! And second, isn't this beautiful? I just wanted to share these images from the Fat or Fiction website. It is not only practical, but it's also truly aesthetically pleasing. Ahh...the cheese!

| This photo might not seem very significant until I stress that we haven't had RAIN is eons!! A rainy city is far more exciting than a sun-filled city at this point. |
Date night! We haven't had a real date night in what feels like....a month? Saturday we drove up to a little town just north of us and found ourselves at a vintage car show. Tim was proud to find his beauty in the show. Really, his beauty is sitting in his dad's shop rusting away. Also, I am not sure that I would call an '86 Camaro a vintage. Either way, I wouldn't mind taking it for a Sunday drive with the t-tops down. If only it would start...
It was a wonderful Saturday evening, but I'm not sure which was better. The date? or the afternoon nap we had just before? It was a close tie, but cuddling up close on a rainy Saturday might be the winner!
Happy Monday, friends!

0 styleboard {11}
Ahh...I really love this board! But I'm a sucker. I love all of them! Anyways, I saw this wall-paper from Anthropologie and couldn't stop thinking about it. It's the perfect mix of daydreams and butterflies and all things perfect. I want to be in this world. All of that mixed with a few other odd-ball pieces makes for a fantastical nursery. This board screams pure joy. Hope you guys like it!

4 kind of
That boy and I have been talking a little more about that wonderful thing called adoption. The conversations have gone really well...kind of. I have to admit, I am really excited to start our family. So excited that I've spent the last two years thinking about it, changing my life for it, taking ridiculous amounts of medicine for it, and dreaming, dreaming, dreaming. Those dreams have evolved into something more beautiful than I ever expected and I CAN NOT wait to be a mother. A mother to who, genetically might not be ours, but who will consume our hearts and who I will love to the ends of the earth. That is why is say our conversations have "kind of " gone well. I am ready to send in the applications Today. Tim on the other hand, is a little more realistic. He is super excited as well, but he wants to wait for all of our student loans to be paid off. Smart, no doubt. He is also looking for that moment where it feels just right. The moment where he knows this is exactly what we should be doing. Having gone thorough one heck of a whirlwind with infertility I know exactly what he means. We need to know that this is our plan...what we're meant for. In the mean time, we need to enjoy this time we've been given and put ourselves in the position to be the best parents we can be. I can't argue with him. Having everything set in place, having a plan of action...it is all really smart. It makes sense. I would love to have my college paid off before I start saving for someone else's. But let's be honest...having a plan didn't work out to begin with. Why assume that it will this time?
I honestly think we're both on the same page, I just think I am more gun-ho than he is. When I want something, I pursue it. I don't always think about the fine print and I don't like to sit back and wait. But waiting never killed anyone, right?

1 no longer MIA
Believe it or not, I AM still alive! Times have been hectic around the Sullentrup house. Well, let me clarify that. I started work and I have been 1. exhausted, 2. pulled in every direction, and 3. completely distracted. With work and evening plans, I have just been craving some plain old I've-got-nothing-to-do time. I think (I mean I'm hoping!!) it will happen this week. And I promise I will get out of the MIA status.
For those of you still with me...I hope you have a great week! Here's a little music to start it off right...

3 bright pink isn't my color
Today is the official start of a new school year. (I go back, the kids come in a week.) Shamefully, I actually enjoy going back to work. I've had my time to recoup from the crazies, rest from the hectic spring semester, and reorganize my thoughts for the school year. I always get that "this year is going to be better than all that came before" mindset. And for the most part, they always are. I mean, let's face it. I get to introduce students to some of the most beautiful paintings, craziest artists, and imaginative minds that ever were. And that's not even the best part. After that, I get to let them have a crack at being creative beings for themselves!
Oh yeah, and on a more selfish note...I love getting dressed for work! I love that the kids notice me wearing a random pattern or that I'm decked out in cool colors, or that my "hue of lipstick doesn't match my skin tone." (I couldn't get mad at this 3rd grader for dissing my lips because she used the words "hue" and "tone" in perfect context.) My students are just so observant and make connections to everything that, to them, I am walking art. I wonder how they got so dang smart!?

0 one, two, and three
My three favorite things from the weekend...
- A casual Saturday running around being city-folk in my chucks.
- Mason sitting ever so patiently (and regally, I might say) as the cat next door teases him in the bushes. Knowing that Mason would rather get to know the cat with his teeth than his eyes, I find this a very sweet moment.
- My free find! A pair of blue adirondack chairs that look like they were actually meant for our front patio!

0 two beauties
I had the privilege of hanging out with these two beauties on Wednesday. We had coffee and went thrifting - aka. we had a good old-fashioned day of fun! Charlie is growing and smiling, and getting so strong! And she's got a great eye for style - making sure to match her outfit to my nails.
As for the weekend? Tim an I are looking forward to being home..a first in weeks. Who knows what the days will hold.
I hope you have a great weekend!

1 17 days of summer
Up until last week, I have watched about 10 hours of TV all summer long. Then the Olympics began and now I can't turn my TV off! I'm so stinkin' addicted to watching the athletes push their limits and out perform the competition. I love the "we're in this together" attitude of the games, commercials and ads - it just makes me feel good! And, aside from Lochte sporting a "grill" the other day (could he be any tackier?), I have been so proud of the USA team!
** Jordon Cheung created this wonderful poster called 17 Days of Summer in honor of the Olympics. Somehow, he’s managed to cram in just about every piece of Olympic paraphernalia you can imagine, from swim caps to ping pong balls. Tim and I spent a good part of our evening trying to figure out what each of the sports were.

2 styleboard {10}
I am kind of in love with this nursery and it's kind of been ages since I've done a Styleboard. So, I attacked it. I found everything I could to re-create this space, including a few extras of my own. I'd like to call this an Inspire-Styleboard. Enjoy!
