3 paper of the wall variety

For as long as I can remember, I have been against wallpaper. So against it, in fact, that I offered to hand-stencil an entire entryway in damask just so a friend of mine wouldn't have to go through the disaster of wall-papering the space. I think it started when my mom asked me to help her do her bedroom when I was about 10. And then a while after that - when she realized it looked like 1992 in there - I helped her take it down, which is even worse than putting it up! Surprisingly, though, I have seen so many gorgeous wallpapered spaces that are starting to shift my attitude. Here are a few of the outstanding culprits...

Did you see that? Wallpaper on the ceiling! Ahh...it makes me melt. I love it! What do you think? Would it be worth the hassle?

Seeing as I've repainted most rooms of my house twice since we moved in, I wouldn't be gutsy enough to wallpaper anything. But that's mainly because I can never keep my mind made up. There are some amazing wallpaper designs out there... I also am in love with that ceiling!

My friend wall-papered her son's nursery... and as soon as he was able to reach it, he ripped huge chunks of it off! Who knew that wallpaper could be impractical for little ones?

The ceiling idea, though... there's something to that. Good luck if you go with it!

Christine - I'm the EXACT same way! I'm not sure if it's that I enjoy change, or that I love too many styles to stick with just one, or if I just can't make up my mind...but once you start painting, it becomes an addiction! So, you're probably right...I'd be tearing down that wall-paper in 6 months or less.

Charlene - I didn't even think about the kids tearing it down! Definitely not a good idea!
